What to Expect Timeline
1. Inquire
Once you poke around the website, do your diligent research (aka some light social media stalking), and determine that we are a good fit, you fill out the contact form on the Investment tab on this website! What happens next is you will receive an email from me within 24 hours. I want to make sure we are a perfect match so I will send over my investment guide and set up a time to chat with me! There is something so impersonal about email communication so I love to talk to my couples on the phone, if possible, before any contracts are signed.
2. Phone Call
The coffee date phone call is an integral part of the process! First of all, coffee, second of all, we get to chat! During this consultation I get to know YOU! I want to know your story and what makes you two unique. I also walk you through the whole A Rai Wedding Day Experience. I take you through what a typical wedding day looks like with me and show some examples of my work during those particular moments.
3. Book!
If you are 100% sure after meeting me that I am the photographer that you want on your wedding day, then you email me and let me know that you want to BOOK! From there I send over the contract and the invoice via email, it is all done online! Once you sign the contract and pay the $1000 retainer that day is exclusively yours!
4. Engagement Session
The engagement session is, in my opinion, the most important part of the experience. Not only is it another chance to see each other face to face, but there are many other perks as well. This session gives you the chance to get in front of my camera BEFORE the wedding and get a feel for how I coach you through it. You will be much more comfortable with me and my camera after the engagement session is complete!
5. Custom Timeline
If you remember, back to the coffee date, I show a typical wedding day timeline...but your day will be unique to you! At this point in the process I know what your wants and desires are for your wedding day and I take all of that into consideration and create a custom timeline for you! I have your very best interest in mind as well as how long certain photos/portraits take. My expertise takes the guess work out of it. I make recommendations and suggestions and send it over to you for edits and final approval!
6. Pre-Wedding Questionnaire
I want to make sure that every photo you are wanting becomes a reality! That can only be guaranteed if we write it down. 30 days before your wedding, I send over a pre-wedding questionnaire. On this questionnaire I ask about all the little details, as well as ask for all the family groupings that you are wanting. I actually print this and bring it to your wedding day so that we don't forget anything!
7. Final Consult
At this point in the process, we are well prepared. However, I know things come up un-expectantly and I am incredibly thorough, so about a week before your wedding day I will set up a final consult. This is a simple phone call that doesn't last very long! I print the questionnaire and the timeline and review it with you one last time to ensure we are all on the same page. Nothing falls through the cracks!
8. Your Wedding Day!
The day that you have been dreaming of since you were a little girl! I am there to support you and do everything in my power to make sure everything goes smoothly. I'll be your dress fluffer, water retriever, and all around pseudo bridesmaid. Your job is to enjoy each other and enjoy the day!
9. Sneaks!
In a world of instant gratification and Amazon Prime, it is hard to wait! Within 1 week of your wedding day you will get Sneak Peak photos!
10. Full Gallery
Within 60 days of your wedding date, you will receive an email from me with a link to your full downloadable gallery! From there you can make favorites lists, order prints, or post to social media!
11. Heirloom Option
There is nothing more priceless than reliving the memories made on your wedding day over and over again. I offer to help you create your very first family heirloom! I oversee the entire process and send you the online design for two rounds of revision before printing. You will never regret owning one and who knows, one day you might get to show your grandchildren!
