I've been waiting a long time to meet these two. We first planned this shoot back in March! The day came and the forecast looked grim. It was raining hard, some spots even had hail! Alyssa and I were emailing back and forth trying to determine if we would try it anyway or reschedule. We decided to forge ahead, and I am so glad we did! Once we arrived to Cathedral Ledge in North Conway, there was nothing but bright blue skies!
Greg owns a Restaurant in Concord, NH that's even named after him! It's in a prime location and is a local favorite. This is where they met! Alyssa came in with some friends and someone introduced her to the owner. The two of them instantly hit it off and the rest is history!
Greg proposed to Alyssa on a beach in Ogunquit, ME. There was an arbor on the beach left there from a wedding the day before and he decided that was the perfect place to ask her. He had written something on a piece of paper and placed it in a glass bottle and had the ring in his pocket. As they were walking along the beach he tossed the bottle on the ground without her looking and then asked her to pick it up and look inside of it. At first she protested, saying that it wasn't hers so she wasn't going to just pick it up and read it. He finally convinced her (thankfully) and the note read "Loved you then, love you still. Always have and always will. I love you. Will you marry me?" When she looked up he was on one knee and there were spectators all along the beach that were clapping!
