I was so happy to see Ann and Alex again on this very sunny hot midsummer day! I had not seen them in person since a year before when we met for their engagement session at Wagon Hill Farm. Ann and Alex are so thoughtful, kind, and poised. They handled their rescheduled wedding date with such grace. I can't get over the way that they look at each other. When you see the smiles that radiate from their faces when they are around each other, you know for certain that it is all love! Witnessing this kind of love is one of my favorite parts about being a NH Wedding Photographer. Although COVID completely derailed their original wedding plans, there was nothing lacking on this perfect day. Close friends and family gathered to witness these two say their vows and celebrate with them at a Ember, a wonderful local Dover restaurant.

One of my favorite parts of the day was when Alex's brother (and best man) described Alex as a child sleeping with a baseball bat in his room just in case of a bear attack. The best man described the bat being Alex's security and peace of mind as a child and then he thanked Ann for being Alex's adult baseball bat. I loved seeing everyone chuckle at this, but especially their mother! Such a special moment was shared when a mother and her two sons were laughing and reminiscing on a time long ago. Such a sweet memorable moment that makes me so grateful to witness such intimate moments and document them for my couples! A close second for my "favorite moment" was definitely when Alex shoved cake into Ann's face. I love a good cake smash! They sweetly wiped the frosting off of each other's noses afterward.

The day started at Vanity Salon in Downtown Portsmouth where the ladies got their hair and makeup done. Beautifully done I might add! The boys were across the street getting read at The Harborside Hotel which has fantastic Portsmouth water views. After the girls helped Ann get into her dress at her parent's house we all headed to The Parish of the Assumption in Downtown Dover. This church was absolutely breathtaking on the inside. Beautiful stained glass with marble columns left me awestruck! When the ceremony was over and Ann and Alex said their "I do's" we headed over for a quick portrait session at Prescott Park in downtown Portsmouth while cocktail hour began at Ember. It was such a pleasure to watch family and friends celebrate Ann and Alex. I was grateful to just be a part of it!
