August beach sessions have a magical feel to them. There is something about the late summer light that is warm and romantic. I had the pleasure of meeting Jill and Mike on the most beautiful summer night! As they walked down the boardwalk toward the beach before our session began, they had all eyes on them as each passerby admired this bride and groom to-be! We joked these two had been in front of the camera before as they were naturals – as the night went on, it was clear this couple has a chemistry about them that is easy going and fun!
Jill and Mike met in Boston one night while out on a bar crawl. Both being from Massachusetts, these two have spent most of their relationship close to the city. Although they love being close to all that the city has to offer, they love to travel and explore new places throughout New England as often as they can.
One of their weekend adventures led them to their engagement! In the midst of a winter hike in New Hampshire last December, Jill was eager to complete their hike to the summit and head back down leaving Mike to have to coax her back toward him so he could propose! Needless to say, Jill had no idea this adventure would lead to their engagement but this added to the excitement of their day!
Jill and Mike have quite the party planned for their wedding! Both being from large families with a big friend group, they plan on celebrating their wedding day with over 200 guests on St. Patrick’s day! Jill has a strong line of Irish heritage and the couple plans to include details of this in their day next March. I can’t wait to see this couple celebrate their love in a big way next winter!
