When I had checked the weather for tonight, I knew that it was going to be perfect. It had just rained, continuously, for two days and I was ready for some cooler weather and hopefully, a beautiful sunset. I was not disappointed.
I met Adrianne and Jerry at Hampton Beach State Park. They looked so good- Adrianne was wearing a beautiful, classy white dress and Jerry matched her poise with some chinos and a button down. As we walked up the sand dune, we began talking about how they met. Right at the beginning of COVID, April 2020, they matched on Bumble and had their first date. Except, it was not your average first date. They met on Zoom to have drinks and get to know one another. Adrianne said that it ended up being such a good way to meet someone because all they could do was talk- there were no distractions of going out to other places. Once restrictions began to die down, they were able to go out and continue their relationship and adventure outside of Zoom! Their favorite date night is going out to eat somewhere. They are both Vegan, which is funny because when they were talking on Bumble, both of them were nervous to share this so it did not come out until later!
This past April, Jerry surprised Adrianne by proposing to her with his dog, Kasey. Kasey had a bandana around his collar, saying “Will you marry my dad?” Adrianne was so surprised that she thought she had accidentally walked in on Jerry testing it out on his dog with the thought that he would do it later. What is even funnier about this story is that Adrianne was planning a surprise party for Jerry but Jerry wanted to surprise her with an engagement! What a fun memory.
Jerry and Adrianne will be getting married at Pepperell Cove in August 2023. I can hardly wait and look forward to celebrating them next year!
