Yesterday was a DREAM. I had the pleasure to photograph Samantha and Nick’s wedding at LaBelle Winery in Amhurst, NH. It was my first time at this venue and I hope it will not be the last. The vineyard was so green and full, with the perfect amount of sunshine and clouds. The day was filled with love from family and friends. It was evident how close Sam and Nick are to their families. Anywhere you looked, people were laughing, smiling, hugging and dancing.
I met Samantha and Nick last year when we did their engagement photos in downtown Portsmouth, NH. I loved hanging out with them and getting to know them. They were so kind and fun. I knew that their wedding day was going to be amazing. When we were back together for their wedding, I was met with a bride and groom who was relaxed, enjoying their afternoon with their bridal party, and ready to get the show on the road. We arrived to the venue and it was apparent how much thought and detail was put into everything. There were cocktail napkins with their cat printed on them, specialized cocktails, beautiful photos of relative weddings, a book of the world where guests could sign their names at a place they have visited and leave traveling tips, and the MOST amazing donut wall.
Once the night began, the dancing did not stop. I love photographing people dancing- especially when the music is so good. The bride and groom did not leave the dance floor until the DJ announced for a group photo outside with everyone. But to the wedding guest’s surprise, Samantha and Nick had a firework display! Everyone was excited and could not believe the surprise. It was awesome getting photos of them watching the fireworks and was such a sweet gift to everyone.
